Disease:
Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome and AML with t(9;11), ALL
This gene encodes a transcriptional coactivator that plays an essential role in regulating gene expression during early development and hematopoiesis. Multiple chromosomal translocations involving this gene are the cause of certain acute lymphoid leukemias and acute myeloid leukemias. Patients with KMT2A-rearranged ALL have a poor prognosis
BCR/ABL p190 Minor by PCR & NGS-AML panel are recommended
Specimen Requirements
Collection:
1~2ml in Green top (Sodium Heparin) tube OR Lavender top (EDTA) tube. 10 mL of fluid in RPMI medium, or
1 cm3 marble-sized piece of fresh tumor immersed completely with RPMI medium or sterile saline.
