Disease:
MCL (mantle cell lymphoma), Hairy cell leukemia and plasmacytoma

BCL1/Cyclin D1 is a nuclear protein detectable in the majority of mantle cell lymphomas. Hairy cell leukemia and plasmacytoma may also express BCL1 with a weaker signal. BCL1 is an oncogene acting as a cell cycle regulator. An abnormal BCL1 gene may give rise to a defective Cyclin D1 protein
